Kosciuszko National Park

Kosciuszko National Park provides opportunities for everyone to explore the mountain landscapes. While snow sports are a big attraction in winter, in the warmer months you can admire the alpine wildflowers, visit historic huts on the Long Plain area, explore Yarrangobilly caves, or just enjoy a bit of fishing and camping in a unique environment.

Park use fees apply: In winter, a Pass allows your vehicle to travel along the Alpine Way, Kosciuszko Road, and to Selwyn Snowfields. In summer, your vehicle is still required to have a Pass for the Alpine Way and Kociuszko Road. A free non-stop Transit Pass is available for travel along the Alpine Way and the Elliott Way (from Kiandra to Tumbarumba)

Park Day Passes may be purchased at Tumba Valley Service Station and Snowy Valleys Council, Tumbarumba office in Bridge Street, Tumbarumba.

All types of Park Passes can be purchased at the National Parks and Wildlife office in Khancoban.

Phone: 02 6076 9373 for further information.

Call in at the Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre or the National Parks and Wildlife office in Khancoban to pick up a copy of the Kosciuszko National Park guide. The guide includes maps, walks, fees, and safety information.
