Shire of Tumbarumba Pipes and Drums

The Tumbarumba Pipe Band was established in 1960, with its first official engagement in 1961, leading the Anzac March from the War Memorial, an engagement carried out faithfully every year since. In 1988, when Tumbarumba Shire Council began to help fund the band, the name was changed to The Shire of Tumbarumba Pipes and Drums.

The history of the band is interwoven with the history of the local communities’ families and local events.
