Kosciuszko Alpine Way

The scenic Kosciuszko Alpine Way is an important link between NSW and Victoria.

The route offers spectacular views of the western face of the main range of the Snowy Mountains.

Along the way you will find Murray 1 Power Station Visitors Centre, just 10 kms from Khancoban. Scammell's Lookout - watch for the turn to the right - is a good stop for an uninterrupted panorama of the mountains. Further on is Geehi Rest Area beside the Swampy Plains River and Tom Groggin Rest Area beside the Murray River. From here the road climbs up to Thredbo, and continues to Jindabyne and Cooma.
