Allow at least two hours for this drive as you will want to visit the the historic Bridge Hotel at Jingellic on the bank of the mighty Murray River.

The River Road from Jingellic follows the Murray River to Welaregang, and takes you past the Jephcott Arboretum. (This is a gravel surfaced road). The arboretum was planted in the 1860s, and many of the seeds were supplied by the state botanist of the time, Ferdinand Von Mueller.
