Tumbarumba - Laurel Hill

Just a short 20 minute drive north towards Batlow, you will arrive in Laurel Hill.

The mill at Laurel Hill processed hardwood for many years, most of which was used to make boat oars and sulky shafts.

The small village has a general store, the Asgard Nursery (open Thursday-Monday 10am-4pm) which specialises in cool climate plants, and the Laurel Hill Berry Farm (open Sundays 10am-4pm) serving soup and pancakes.

The Sugar Pine Walk is located about 400 metres down the main logging road to the right immediately after the village (Knopsens Road in Bago Forest).

On your return, take the Courabyra Road for an alternative route with views of the mountains back to Tumbarumba.
